Chief Umpire appointed to 2 new posts!

Leslie Ingram Brown has been appointed the exciting new position of Chief Umpire at the Pacific Junior Curling Championship which takes place from 11^th-17^th January 2010 in Japan.

Due to the clash of dates, Leslie has had to stand down as Chief Umpire for the 2010 Glynhill Ladies International. The Organising Committee would like to thank Leslie, not only for his contribution in making the Glynhill Ladies such a successful event, but for the gift of the magnificent Curling Kettle trophy for the competition (see Trophy page). 

Leslie has also been asked to chair a committee consisting of Armin Harder, the Executive Director of the Curling Champions Tour (CCT), and the two player representatives, David Murdoch and Karolina Pilarova. As CCT Rules Commissioner his remit is to produce a standardised set of playing rules for all CCT events. We wish Leslie well for the busy season ahead.

The position of Chief Umpire at the Glynhill Ladies International will be taken on by Alan Stephen who has umpired at the last two competitions and has a wealth of umpiring experience.
